Armed Assault & Operation Flashpoint 2

Hi, just read this over a gamesradar
http://gamesradar.msn.co.uk/features...sectionid=1639
Sounds good, being that the two titles mentioned are quiet different from each other.

"Bohemia's technology enables some other flourishes. There are fully destructible buildings and vehicles, each capable of being reduced to their component elements. Yet due to the continuous, persistent nature of the world, anything you destroy stays destroyed."

Operation Flashpoint 2:Buy This One Please?

OFP is probably the second best game noone plays, right after SWAT4.

^^^^^Not true. Opflash sold about a million copies or so most likely more. I doubt SWAT4 will ever reach those numbers though. =\

Re: Armed Assault & Operation Flashpoint 2

OFP2 is a must buy, IMO... but also Armed Assault...

and as much as I love SWAT 4... I still believe OFP was and is the greatest squad tactical shooter ever... SWAT 4 is dying because the missions are already old...13 maps, no matter how random the spawns are... the tactics are the same...

OFP is the greatest because of it's modding and add-on ability, but that was also it's downfall in my opinion... there was/is so many add ons and mods out for OFP... it's almost impossible to have the same as another random gamer for multiplay... unless there in a clan and have the required add-on's/mods listed somewhere.

and just a side note... if you have OFP, do yourself a big favor, and download and install the latest mod, (mentioned in another post with a video clip...can't recall it right now... operation flashpoint advance config or something like that... works with all add-ons and mods, self exe, with it's own shortcut... will BLOW you away, if your a fan of OFP... better sounds, real world radio chatter, explosions, and special effects...including men on fire jumping out of there burning tanks, and secondary explosions.... SWEET, very sweet. IMO, of course, lol.

I have been playing OFP for 4 hours now since i got this mod... can't stop... BF2 what? lol jk.

Man is it incredible...

make sure you check out the mission editor... throw a few tank platoons down opposite some enemy tank platoons, couple of Apaches etc ect... then click "speculate"... camera controls, fly bys... can direct your own movie, lol...

Re: Armed Assault & Operation Flashpoint 2

I've been playing alot of BF2 lately which is great don't get me wrong, but OFP is more my style of play. Lying on the top of a hill watching an enemy base deciding on the best time to stike. Can't wait for both Armed Assault and OFP2: The RPG. I had been debating getting Resistance to try some of these new mods that look excellent. However if Armed Assault contains everything the original did(If I read that right) then I'll wait.

In general computer games as a whole, I think Co-op mode is so underestimated. I haven't got SWAT 4, though its on cheap(ish) on Amazon so I might.
