Discussion: Operation Flashpoint / Operation Flashpoint - Tactics, Missions and Mod Discussions - Another CTI - http://forums.ogn.com.au/showthread.php?p=233732
I'll try it out tonight and see what it's like. Sounds quite good.
Not to resurect a thread, just so i dint have to create one. Last night Turbo Friedfish and I tried some CTI out.....what the hell is it? So i did a couple googles and found a links:
I woulda been happy to stick around and give some orientation last night, but sadly, there's no such thing as a "short game of CTI." Seeing as it was about 11pm my time, I wasn't too eager for sleep dep today.
If you guys want to give it a serious try, lets pick a night and jump in. We can all play vs. the AI.
Disclaimer: I am by no means an expert. I have played close to a dozen times, a handful as the CO. I know just enough to get us all into trouble. (Sidenote - Top pick for CO has always been Apo, in my opinion. He showed me the ropes and has also schooled me big time in adversarial mode.)
Best thing I can say about CTI is that it's dynamic. Though the missions are good, they're still scripted. CTI is fully adaptable... perfect for both strategic level of play and pure tactics. Here's a link to the MFCTI site which I believe is what's running on our server. I know at one point it may have been upgraded to the ZeusCTI version, but this is an optimized release which is supposed to improve performance. Anyway, that MFCTI site does a pretty good job of laying out all the good stuff in CTI, including a manual on how to play!
1) You can play it single player vs. AI to get in some offline orientation/practice.
2) Apo would definitely enjoy a game of CTI... and we could still all play on one side vs. AI (which is suitably challenging on its own). His experience is definitely worth having when learning this game type.
So... I'd be up for a game just about any night this week. Tonight is SWAT (I could skip it). Tomorrow is RO (I could skip it). I don't play anything scheduled on Wed, but I think some of you do. Thurs is GR (I don't want to skip that). Fri is AA (I'm torn about skipping that).

What say you all?
PM Apophis and find out what his schedule looks like, and work around that.
My schedule is really booked this week, but I can make the later rounds on any day.
Man, I'm bummin' about all of this. Being in Europe, I can't hook up with you guys. This sucks!!
Any of you guys able to sneak a couple rounds of OFP while you're at work? pretty please? 1600 EST/EDT would be just about right. C'mon...ya know you want to...
I would really love to play some CTI. Any night this week, with the exception of Thursday, would work well for me! I've played a fair bit of OFP, but never tried CTI. I might have a friend who could join us too. Good, tactical gamer who loves his OFP. I'll check once we've got a concrete date and time.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
Things usually unfold faster than...
