the weapons go gold after you complete all the challenges for them, I think

yeah you have to get 150 head shots with both shotguns.

Hmm. then I hope I don't get a gold shotgun. I hate gold plated weapons...so cheesy (not in the delicious sort of way).

Is there a way you can disable the gold weapons? It looks bad IMO. It's shiny and nice but not when playing a shooter game. I can see it getting pretty annoying after a while.

You can just choose a different skin for the gun, its just like the other camo skins only they dont show it to you until you unlock it.

I notice that if I use the gold shotty by the end of the round every one is using it since they pick up mine after I die lol.
