a propane flame thrower doesnt work very good, it burns too fast, you need a slow burning fuel; like, say, a mixture of gasoline and orange juice, ran through a hose that is fed by a fuel pump, so that you are pumping the mixture at high pressure, you can send the fuel 50+ feet before the fuel has time to burn fully, propane needs about .125 seconds after it leaves the nozzle and enters the flame to burn fully, the mixture above needs a fair amount of time, maybe 2 seconds or so before it is consumed.......

that concludes Flamethrower 101

tune in next time, and i will explain, in detail, how to build and detonate a Hydrogen Bomb using an old towel, a toothpick, and a banana.

Thats not entirely true. Ive seen 8 foot flames out of propane line that has burst. Ive also seen it create a flame that is no longer then my finger nail, most of the heaters i work on burn at that size.

Only issue with a propane flame thrower is you need alot of pressure to keep it in a liquid form, which is also another fun way to use propane.

But first, review the MSD for banana concentrate (PDF):

(I was unsuccessful in finding an MSD for the whole banana.)

i never said it didnt work, i just stated that it doesnt work well, and when compared to a flame thrower whomes purpose is to throw flame (not shoot it), is far inferior
