I've seen one eagle up close at thailand. It looked kinda like the one on Gogeta's video. Huge creature. When you see one eye-to-eye you confront it with respect. Or it'll tear your eyes out.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White-tailed_Eagle one of these lives on the same island as our summer cottage is in on. Woman who lives near us on the same island clames that the eagle once took her dog from her yard.
Not a big one tho. Scariest thing is that we have two dogs who are lot smaller. :S

House cats are definitely up there on the list. They'll kill anything their size or smaller just for fun. The only reason I mentioned barn owls specifically is that, unlike some of the other owl breeds (which can be tremendously stupid, let me tell you), they're smart enough to figure out the best way to claw or tear at your hand when you try to put them on/take them off their perch. Most birds you only have to wear one glove to handle; with barn owls, you'll need two. And use eagle gauntlets, for the love of your fingers.
