How far apart were the gas stations?

Dad's been there. Said that it would get so hot that the windows would shatter from expansion.

Im working at FNMOC.
depends on the road you enter/exit the park from but can certainly be a ways, nothing a full tank of gas cant handle but less than half a tank could make you uncomfortable. There is one at the center of the park but it should be your last resort since it costs so much.

Re: Death Valley
I once went there and found it quite inspiring. Best is to go early in the morning. It is so quiet you can hear yourself think. Until a USAF jet interrupts.
I stayed in a small motel and needed money to buy gas for the next day. The casino ATM did not accept my card and I thought that there was something wrong with the account. I spend a 'sleepless' night and tried the bank ATM across the street the next morning - which worked. Big relief.Gigabyte P35-DS3R, 2GB, 8800GTS 640MB, Core2Duo E8400
