Re: Assassin's Creed on PC is out
yeah I'm thinking of a 360, it seems consoles drive the game market now and PC games are a smaller market to fish in after companies have fished the larger and more lucrative console markets. This is not a critism or anything just a statement of how I see it and how I would do it if I owned a company and looked at the markets for games.

Re: Assassin's Creed on PC is out
This game is so much fun, the movement is exquisite and the controls are fluid. Combat is slightly repetitive but can easily be switched around with a little effort from the player.
you can see the 360 interface rear its ugly head when you try and figure out if your game is saved and when you try and exit the game but those faults are not enough to derail the goodness that is this game.
Great story and its very cinematic, excellent graphics, the animation team at Ubisoft deserves a raise.Reapator, overlord of ponies

Re: Assassin's Creed on PC is out
I tell exactly this same thing to my PC gaming friends and they all think I am on crack. PC is a better gaming configuration but platform is more profitable configuration. it is a business nobrainer. Also, note that there is a WoW platform game coming. What does THAT tell you about the PC? At least I am not a lone voice in the wilderness

Re: Assassin's Creed on PC is out
I just finished it and that game is so awesome, its the best single player I've ever played. Next year when AC 2 is out, I'm getting a console, cant wait for the PC version

Re: Assassin's Creed on PC is out
I have this game for PC and I must say I am very well pleased with it. Why would I want to buy a 360 just to get this game, when my PC can run it better then the 360 or PS3. Not to mention I know there will be mods released for it.

Re: Assassin's Creed on PC is out
Finished it today. Left me wondering, where's the sho-much-hyped extra missions? I thought it was at additional memories but after completeing one I dont get new mission.

Re: Assassin's Creed on PC is out
- If you need nonstop action... meh...
- If you like a little stealth, guile and finger origami... Woooot!
- The controls leave me a little befuddled... for now, until I get it figured out.
- Not sure where the steep specs come from. Runs very nicely on my C2D 6600 and Nvidia 8800GT OC.
- Very nice change of speed from all this BFing I have been doing lately
- A real story line always helps a game. This one has that, for sure.
The only gripe I have is that if your wife is nagging you to get off the damn PC... it taks about 2 mintes to exit the game. What happened to just .. exit? YOu have to go thru an excercise that is about as convoluted as a 5 man fight. In fact, I think a 5 on one is easier than exiting the game.
Still... it's been fun.Last edited by lawndartleo; 04-19-2008 at 01:43 PM.

Re: Assassin's Creed on PC is out
There isn't a WOW game coming to consoles. It was just an April Fool's Joke from Blizzard. PC gaming is fine relax. It's just that most of us live in the US. US is basically console land. PC gaming's strongholds are Europe, Asia minus Japan, and basically what is left of the world.
I would love the games to release the same day but I don't mind waiting. Especially in the case of Mass Effect (and AC from the sounds of things) where we get something we can call the "PC version". To be honest the news on ACPC surprises me. I was expecting the sloppy job Ubi does as of late.
Still PC gaming is fine carry on kids.
Edit: For some proof just look at how many companies have jumped on the PC bandwagon. We have Namco/Bandai, THQ, Midway, and Capcom. Hell we are getting Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 2.

Re: Assassin's Creed on PC is out
The finger oragami becomes second nature after about 2 hours. I can check my brain at the door now during a fight and just have fun, no more thinking required.
A fight is not much more of a matter than WASD, SHIFT, SPACE (a very natural hand span from every damn shooter I have ever played although the effect might be entirely different) and a 2-button mouse.
F to lock on to the mark and 1234 to pick his manner of demise before the fun even starts.
E, C and tab for other things that are not pressure situation related (view and map).
The first leaping hidden blade kill you execute gets you quite hooked... think teaser video (gallows scene).Last edited by lawndartleo; 04-20-2008 at 03:42 PM.
