Re: Thx you tax payers, new ride...
What color of lights do you guys use? The police in TN are blue but in some states they are red.
Do you like the LED liights? I personally think that the blue LED's are harder to see than standard strobes. They "feel" like they are on the upper end of the wavelengths that I can see. They look crazy good at night though.
Beautiful ride man. Congrats!

Re: Thx you tax payers, new ride...
Red and blue... and I've never been a fan of the LED strobes, just to bright and blinding IMO, but not my option.
This is a K9 vehicle, it has the police package handling and braking but not the police package power set... I am NOT allowed to pursuit in this vehicle, probably couldn't keep up anyway... thats what other cars and radios are for.
thx for the comments.

If you're looking for a "proven" platform that's a Ford which most if not all depts purchase from, there's the Escape Hybrid. There's always the Tahoe/Yukon HYbrid as well, if you need full size. Hybrid technology is prolific now, and I think it's "proven" enough at this point.

It's really not proven until the Michigan State Police put them through their paces... For all I know, they already have. I haven't been keeping up with police cars lately.

My family had a dog like that when I was a teen. He was a good ratter. I remember seeing him suck one down his gullet when we threatened to take it away from him. The memory of the legs and tail disappearing into his mouth still leaves me shivering.

Re: Thx you tax payers, new ride...
funny you should mention the name Tazer... my dogs birth name was GUN... I quickly had to change that (my daughters picked shadow)... could you imagine being on a traffic stop with fellow officers and calling for your dog GUN... the back ups would poop, lol...
What breeder would name a police dog Gun? lol...stupid.
