    F.E.A.R. Re-visited...

I bought the direct2drive version of FEAR back when first released, played it but got stuck about half way through and eventually quit it and moved on to other games. (as I usually do, lol)

Well anyway, with the FEAR 2 demo coming Friday, and the new FEAR 2 game coming Febuary 10th for PC, 360, and PS3, (and looking damn good with built in 2 player campaign co-op), I decided to re-download and install FEAR, and play through it again too completion. (FEAR 2 takes place just 30 mins before the end in FEAR 1.)

FEAR 2 links (for PC, 360, and PS3)

So anyway, damn nice looking game for what 5 years old or whatever... and now get near 100 FPS on everything maxed, lol...

    Here's some re-visited screens:

Hey lady, you should really stay with me, I'm a trained professional:

My teammates are a lazy bunch:

I wanted to off him, after all he put me through:

    Your going down cannibal:

Told her she should of stayed with me:

    What the...

Ahhh, I made it, just need an extraction:

    Ahhh come on already:

After the dust settles, I get pulled out, then my teammate turns to me and says... "I wonder whatever happened to Alma?" Now why the hell she have to say that!

Fade to black, bring on FEAR2... good ending:

*Screens will be removed from my site as new ones are posted.

That does look good! Almost makes me want to go back and play it again too!

    Re: F.E.A.R. Re-visited...

This game was a little bit ahead of it's time. It had "not dumb as a rock" AI unlike other titles at that time, and as you can clearly see it's graphics were top shelf for it's day a well. (Hell, they still don't look to shabby)

Makes me want to install and play it again as well.

Yea I did the same thing like a month ago, I was going through a box of software and I saw FEAR and I was like hmmmm I wonder how that would run on my 4870 I had to try it. Needless to say it ran better than I ever thought it would. In the benchmarks, with everything maxed out my min fps was around 100. I went out and bought the expansion pack. Now I wonder how many fps I could get in HL1 lol.

I think I just got convinced to replay through FEAR again and with the demo coming out on Friday, I got more reason to replay through it

Ya, be sure to check out some of the newly released videos... one compares FEAr1 to FEAr2... more detail, more blood...always cool.
