That's a Gnome desktop running in a Gentoo install. You gat the icons from Gentoo

The MP3 player is XMMS with some theme I picked up somewhere... You can prolly find it at XMMS site...

Errr, mine is running on Windows XP Pro after downloading the wallpaper
from the website that my screenshot is linked to, and downloading the
theme from www.ThemeXP.org and otherwise following the directions I
posted in the Hardware and Software forum.

In other words, you don't have to be that big of a geek to have a nice looking desktop... :P

Anybody got anything new or exciting in the desktop department? I just recently installed DesktopSideBar, StyleXP 2.0, and Winamp 5.0 Professional, all of which support some rather interesting translucency effects.

Here is my latest:

Nothing but Winamp 5.0

Showing off DesktopSideBar ( www.desktopsidebar.com ) and StyleXP 2.0

Theme is one of the default StyleXP 2.0 themes, and background is from www.lightstar1.com
