i used the themexp program, when it ran out of date that happend.

now ive uninstalled it and tryed the new dlls it still happens. sigh i liked my new theme

Overlag... are you using SP1 for winXP? If so, there is one link in Google (which I will have to find again) that allows you to patch SP1 uxtheme.dll... the issue is that the files include the windows version number which changes when you install SP1.

yay got it

basicaly windows file protection was stoping the file being replaced... all the guides told me to replace the same file in the dllcache dir... but that dir was no where to be seen.

so i edited where that dir should be.. and it created it. This allowed me to h4x the file, and now i have my themes

off to the pubs...

if anyone is interested, i have an auto patcher for XP SP1
just double click the exe and it auto patches the UTXtheme.dll

ready to use any theme you like, (if you know how)

here is the auto patcher program (200kb)
only use if you have XP/SP1 http://www.bt.homepage.btinternet.co...tchThemeXP.exe


Oh and i got the Rainlendar Calendar program now thanks guys
