You need to have it hosted somewhere first though. You can't just link from your computer. If you grabbed your wallpaper from a site, just link to the site so we can see it.

The image needs to be on a web server first.

Then use this code for it to show up on the forum.
[img]"http://www.whatever.com/~yourdirectory/picture.jpg"[/img]

Just don't use the double quotes and NEVER,EVER post a bitmap.

Can you convert your desktop image to a jpg image? Do you need help?
If so you can PM me and I can post it up for you
