Looks like someone tore of the guys skin. I think its the back of a leg, like, the calf area... One way or another its pretty nasty lookin.

That would be a leg, debrided to scoop off a little flesh eating bacteria. In part two of our attempt to survive they usually cut the limb off. That leg's still attached so it's a relatively minor case that they caught early. Bad stuff, and ew.
