Just as long as it doesn't get wet I bet.
    I do what I can.

What happens if he has a power failure in the middle of a combat zone?

    Cool...

I want one so I can jump for miles at a time like the hulk.

And I would hope there is a quick-release button in case of failure.

He says, "Oh @#%!" while he tips over.

I guess it can't be any worse than having your weapon jam in combat.

I haven't seen the video but here's my opinion:

Carrying a 70lb ruck is no problem. Dump the exoskeleton and continue to march. The only thing this does is allow you to arrive at your destination without the weariness of hiking 20 miles with a heavy pack. I wouldn't advise using this to allow soldiers to carry more than they could without assistance (like you said, in case of failure).

Two problems with this design: a) Although he isn't carrying the weight he still has to deal with inertia and momentum. b) Because of that wouldn't you always be falling over?

It's like using a handcart/dolly to move a thousand pound item.... It's all in the balance. Once you're used to it, it's easy, I would think...

Hmmmm....wonder how quick a squad could get belly down when they came under fire ? Looks like trying to get prone in that thing would get your whole body dislocated...

It looks ridiculous...one man, one kit...if you can't carry it? Get out. A 70 lb ruck is a light combat load....more often than not they weigh a 100 lbs or more. Most rucks have quick release straps to enable a soldier to react to effective fire...leaving him with his belt kit or tactical vest which carries ammo and a spare pair of underwear...lol. How the hell do you get out of that thing?
