Two problems with this design: a) Although he isn't carrying the weight he still has to deal with inertia and momentum. b) Because of that wouldn't you always be falling over?

It looks ridiculous...one man, one kit...if you can't carry it? Get out. A 70 lb ruck is a light combat load....more often than not they weigh a 100 lbs or more. Most rucks have quick release straps to enable a soldier to react to effective fire...leaving him with his belt kit or tactical vest which carries ammo and a spare pair of underwear...lol. How the hell do you get out of that thing?
