They remind me of the Solefald song Hyperhuman.

You would take that offensivly if you don't know the song. Hell. I bet if you did, it would only make sense to me, as I have a warped mind...

In a less confusing manner, "that ain't half bad."

I came with this after following a couple of tutorials, but that stuff doesn’t really satisfy me....

    Re: avatar art!

Some time back i made this huge collage with a bunch of hand crafted brushwork in Pshop and mixed it in with some comic art around the web to create a really strange fantasy seen. The main subject of it was this mushroom i did, it had roots that were all smudged and blended with the ground. I think you'll find alot of satisfaction out of picking a subject, working on it making many many changes to it and watching it evolve into something that words cannot describe.

    Some other Ideas:
Reflections (try to create accurate reflections)
    Mirroring
using the lasso and wand tool to make very customized work within a certain area.
realistic textures (this is one is difficult but it's alot of fun)
Taking realistic photo's and turning them into paintings or mixing and matching them while keeping the real look.

    Just a few ideas
