Pretty funky illusion
You see a circle of violet dots. Each of them disappears in order, like moving in a circle.? Concentrate your sight on the cross, you'll see a green dot moving. If you keep looking all violet dots will disappear.
Anyone have an explanation as to why?

IMO that the purple dots are not moving and that the green dot is the one in motion.

ya, you only remember the purple dots from your vision of them before you looked at the cross. then your preferal vision can see the green dot moving around in a circle so it blanks out the purple dots as it passes by them.
*goes back and looks at it for another hour*

If I remember behaviorial nueroscience it is due to the receptors in your eyes tiring out. They can flip the colors, most of the color sensing cones ( I think tis cones and not rods) when over saturated flip to the other color they sense.

now that ive stared at it for 15 minutes, i realise there is no green dot, like leejo said. it took me 15 minutes to figure that out. all i can say is wow.

When you focus on an object the objects around it turn the oppsoite color of what they are. Look it up in a psycology book.

actually azreal has it closest. Its alot like those things where you look at the wall you end up seeing jesus or whatever. When the violet circles turn off you see the green
