My trip to Catalina and Mexico
Not that great of a trip to be honest. Long story.
Daughter twirling in her "fancy dress" on our balcony A couple of tables I thought looked cool in the dining room "Holly House" on Catalina Island. Leaving Catalina. Picture taken from our room If there is an American flag this big I would like to know about it. SS Catalina was built in 1924 for the Wrigley (gum) family who owned part of Catalina at the time. This ship sunk in 1998 in Ensenada harbor. My grandmother informed me that the last time she went to Ensenada in 1961 or so was on this ship. "La Bufadora" The blowhole in Ensenada. 1 of 3 such items on the world. I thought this was interesting. Could be a better composed picture but the line of busses with the booths caught my eye. Did I mention that this wasn't the best of trips? Yeah, this is my youngest puking in Mexico.

Re: My trip to Catalina and Mexico
Good find! Thanks
![]() From the website: 255 x 505 (ft) and requires at least 600 volunteers to unfurl. Superflag's grommet's were attached to heavy steel cables attached to the Hoover Dam by officials of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, which operates the Dam. The steel grommets every 30 inches where strong enough to hold the flag in heavy wind, and soon after the Guinness® required time period had passed, one cable snapped!
