Apparently there are 72 bands in this pic. Let's see how many we can get - but to make it a bit more fun for everyone, try to only post one at a time. (sorry if this has been posted, did a search but could not find it).
an easy one to kick off -> just lower right of centre the guy smashing up pumpkins:

I found three instantly but I'll just answer one for now.
The B52's (I think they sang that song 'love shack' but I'm not sure)
I only know the name because they were performing somewhere near me and they had tons of commercials for it while I was watching the Simpsons.AKA ContingencyPlan

Nine Inch Nails. Also the picture is cut off: Skinny Puppy, Cake and The Scorpiosn are the other 3 (that obviously you cannot see since they're cut off)
