Battleground Europe...
(about 4 hrs of play time, 1st time I saw and engaged an enemy)...

BUT... he had a wingman for revenge... I didn't
First Kill verified...

Played WW2OL for a couple years after release. They really cleaned things up and it is looking good. Maybe get back into it after I am done school and working again.

I believe it's all one massive server, one massive battle...
loving this more and more as I find action...
Found a transport truck, bringing about 6 plus infantry units to our outside skirts... SWEET for me, sorry for them...

1. I was new and had no clue where I was going...
2. This ain't Counter Strike... It's a virtual battlefield, with tons of space and tons of land mass, and only one LONGGG front line...
3. and BFE isn't for everyone, thats for sure.

When you die you spawn back from the front line, correct?
I think it would be fun to sneak by the front line and disrupt the troops coming back into the battle, Ambush.

Everyone plays on one server. The server map is a seamless 1/2 scale map of western Europe. Not sure how much is filled in now, when I was playing I remember people in my squad (more dedicated than me) doing 2 hour supply run just moving armour to the front lines. I have been involved in 2 hour Strat bombing missions and flying 1+ hour defence missions.
Nothing like being in a spitfire and running down flights of 20+ HE-111's escorted by 110's and 109's..
Great fun but after playing a lot for 3-4 years I needed a break.

Yes, this game is awesome, but not for everyone. I played for 3 years, mostly axis on the ground. Have been back in a few times to give it a try, but not since the BGE release. Originally Posted by Toshido

We would setup a town capture for an hour or more. Roll into town with 50+ tanks, after another 30 mins. You crest the hill into town and pop, your tank is on fire from a hidden AT gun in the trees. Then the next three hours are spent on attrition of the town with waves of infantry. You ride into town on a truck, killed as you get off, and back to the spawn :-)

This game is incredible. After convincing my brother to subscribe, and stealing his account, I spent about an hour hiding in the shrubbery in a German town doing recon work for Allied forces, before giving the go-ahead for an attack involving maybe 40 - 45 players. With the volume cranked up sufficiently, BGE can get pretty damn scary at times, with the endless screaming as infantry are gunned down, as armour maneuvers through the city streets and with formations of fighters and bombers being decimated by flak guns. Alone it sucks, but in a squad...
