Innocence at its best!
My son came home from school several years ago during Martin Luther King's birthday. He was learning about the man and the great things that he did. She taught him about the marches, protests and boycotts against racism. She taught him that racism is bad. The teacher was very good about the lessons. Part of the lesson was coloring a picture of MLK. Below is the picture he came back with. My son still thinks he is a great man for what he did. Obviously though, my son didn't quite grasp the concept of racial inequality. I don't think he even understood that people are different colors.

A. thats awesome! i love the equality that children share.....it doesnt matter how you look to them, just how you act i wish we grownups could experience that again somehow
B, the teacher never showed a picture of the man? thats wierd

I am sure she did. He was in first grade or kindergarten at the time.
