Holy crap, there's a guy on foot that gets blown out of his jumpsuit while trying to cross the track! That is some incredible footage. It's amazing what man will do for a thrill....

I can't speak for the other racing circuits, but the restricter plate racing on Nascar is silly. The one at the end were the guy walked away from his car being ripped up was at Bristol TN and not a restrictor plate race. .5 mile track with 33 degree curves and like a 17 degree bancked straight away, sick fast for a 1/2 miler.

I see race car driver as Gladiators (but the drivers are not slaves). They risk their live because they like to race. They get paid big bucks because people like to see them race hard. Some like to see big wreaks. Only Nascar can deliver that kind of entertainment at Daytona and Talledaga.
