Re: Random Google video picks.
Yep. Nothing like a captive audience, horrible lyrics, a Brooks Brothers shirt and tie, and an overly earnest delivery to make you cringe.
I'm just glad someone at B of A found it absurd enough to release the tape into the wild.

Re: Random Google video picks.
For those of you not familiar with Milgram’s Obedience test, I have been able to find some audio from the vintage test.
Feel free to read up on the test. It is an interesting piece on humanity and our uncanny ability to obey commands even if others are suffering something fierce. http://learningat.ke7.org.uk/socials...13/Milgram.htm The reason for me to research this? I watched an episode of 20/20 were a fake cop called a total "copper top/tool" McDonald's manager and had her strip search a young girl. It got way way way worse. The fake cop, chose his target well because such environments are loaded with types who obey commands with ease and once they are thrown from protocol are easily manipualted. A very very shocking story. If you have kids, tell them to call dad/mom when they feel uncomfortable at the work place. Ohh, and tell them not to trust anyone over thrity while your at it. No footage sorry: http://abcnews.go.com/2020/story?id=2684890 Scroll down and click on Shocking Surveillance Video. Warning mature them, but was found on abc Friday night. http://p239.news.mud.yahoo.com/video/2461/pg:4

Re: Random Google video picks.
There is a show that contains that McDonalds video footage as well as excerpts from the Milgram and Zimbardo experiments called The Human Behavior Experiments (link to preview/purchase video @ google), which aired this year on Sundance and Court TV. It has a lot of great archival footage from the Milgram Obedience Experiment, the Zimbardo Prison Experiment, and other Social Psych Experiments. I actually show this video in my Psych Class, and it's a great tool to instigate some heated conversation in class on the notion of obedience and conformity.
If you look hard, you can find the full original videos produced by the researchers (Milgram and Zimbardo) online. ![]()

Speaking of Psych class...was shown this not too long ago...

Re: Random Google video picks.
I did a search for Fun Rangers and found nothing. Here's episodes 1-3.
http://www.splu.net/splufilms/FunRangers.htm "i like it here, it's a pretty good place" "...where?" "i'll have a b...ba-loney salad" "i'd like the jellied crab" Warning - some swearing |
