VBS1 Lite: 1st Mission Convoy Escort

First screen, due to first sharing of this version (note: the screen is dark, was a little slow taking the screen and it was fading out to mission already):


Todays mission, I will be Alpha Black 7, part of a squad assigned to escort a convoy out of this town. We will be riding in two Bushmaster vehicles, our main concern as always is unseen IED's, (Improvised Explosive Devices).


Here I am with my boyz, my brothers... my friends... my life:


and here we are traveling lead in our Bushmaster vehicle:

Alright, time to get serious, moving thou the town, always a dangerous task:


As we drive by a stopped vehicle on the side of the road, the explosion happens:


As is usually the case with these cowards, more bystanders are killed then us troops:


We quickly move out of the kill zone, then prepare to disembark:


We disem,bark and immediately take fire from the cowards hiding in the civilian populous:


I go prone and start picking off the insurgents:


After a brief firefight with no losses on our side, Thank God, were ordered to load back up:


Were moving again, notice the explosion location in the background:


But it ain't over yet... three times were ordered out of the vehicle to engage insurgents, then ordered back in, we see another distant fire(s):


Another convoy was hit, we dismount again and engage the insurgents celebrating near there past victory, they don't celebrate for long:


My squad moves from cover to cover advancing down the roadway:


We load back up and continue our escort, we see no survivors from the previous convoy ambush:


Here we are in our vehicle again, FriedFish (thats his nickname) thinks it's funny to fart while he's up in the gun and were in back... NOT FUNNY AT ALL!


We continue, moving out of the town:


Heres a look from the IED's POV, (hey something different):


See Rambo wanna be out there, I guess he decided it was safety to run next to the vehicle then to be in it, he never loaded up after being ordered... He's one of these PT hounds:


Successful mission, and as you can see Magnum got him some GET SOME:

BTW: This is a game to me, but I in no way want to take away from what our real troops go thou everyday... VBS1 contains more realistic, more disturbing missions then OFP, never forget real men and women are doing this stuff IRL everyday.

VBS1 is the professional, military grade version of OFP...

The complete DVD suite, that I just bought a week ago is 1000 bucks! yep, 1000 bucks...

But what your looking at above is VBS1 lite... and more info on that later.

This is VBS lite, and will only be 25 bucks...

What I paid 1k for is the full VBS1 DVD suite, still not worth 1K IMO... but contains about 10 times more stuff then OFP...compared similarly.
