Rainbow Six Vegas for the PC...

This is just a little "first impressions" post with a few screenshots, all from the single player terrorist hunt mode. I will be doing a full review of the game, and hope you guys read it when posted in a couple of weeks, but wanted to throw out a bone to a few that might be waiting for info on this game, like to buy or not.

First off, this ain't Letdown...I mean Lockdown... this game is 100 times better, with just a few first look issues.

Guess what folks, those gosh dang terrorist have taken over Vegas, and theres a new team of Rainbow's to put a stop to it.

You got your typical SP campaign with 2 AI teammates, which BTW, don't start in Vegas, it starts in Mexico and some unpleasant stuff happens to you and your team South of the Border, but I won't be ruining the story for you here, don't you worry.

The story moves to Vegas and then another location, that I'll let you guys figure out too.

Once you unlock the campaign missions, you can play them again and again, and surprisingly, you may want to. You have two options, plus the campaign of course, for SP... story mode, were you play a mission you unlocked again, or my old favorite, terrorist hunt, where it's just you against a bunch of bad guys on 10 different maps, a couple of them being old Rainbow Six classics like The Streets and Kill House...SWEET!

But now you also have ladders, fast ropes, and repelling, where you can even go inverted and kill a bunch of unknowing bad guys through the window... SWEET!

Multiplayer is through Ubisoft, and now I have to find my account info again, dang it... you have story co-op mode with up to 4 players and terrorist hunt, and a few other modes of play like retrieval, attack and defend etc ect...more on that in the review.

The enemy AI is a HUGH improvement over the prior games in the series, and you have multiple paths to take... like in one story mode mission, you can enter from the roof through a couple of different access doors, or you can repel off the side of the building, you and your whole team at once then bust in a window guns blazing, or fast rope through a sky light.

The enemy will call for help, they will flank you, throw nades, smokes and bangs at you... they will blind fire behind cover, suppress you, and charge you when they hear you reloading....SWEET!

IMO, so far, Best enemy AI so far, but again they are just AI, so they can be stupid once in a while.

Also, this game is rated M for a reason, those gosh dang terrorist have a bad potty mouth... I love it.

OK, if you got the bucks, the interest and the friends to play online with... then my first impressions should you buy or not is BUY IT. If you don't care for the series, have friends, or the money...then wait for something better to spend your money on...like Barbie's Pet Farm, lol, because frankly... you probably wouldn't be reading this if you didn't have a slight interest.

Now for some first impression screens and commentary:

First contact, hit the middle mouse button to bring up sights:

Enemy throws smoke at you to blind ya:

Taken from the console version that works great there, hit your right mouse button to take cover and move from 1st person to 3rd, no lean keys which I would of preferred, but I got use to it:

A little repelling action:

While your behind cover, you can blind fire... only good in close quarters thou:

The typical "I've been banged" effect:

You can pick up the bad guys weapons, which you may need in the campaign:

You get a blur effect when hit, then just take cover and wait and you'll come back, consoleie but works, at least theres not health kits:

Blind firing again, I do that alot, reload alot too, lol:

You got night vision (green) and infra vision (heat) goggles, come in handy when they throw smoke:

When spray and pray works:

you get to carry TWO primary weapons, and you'll need both, man this terrorist team really recruited well:

Casino room, graphics are good and nice, but I've been spoiled with my 360 version:

Fast roping:

The end, again... look for my full review in a couple of weeks.

Thank you.

Re: Rainbow Six Vegas for the PC...

I told myself, I wasn't going to share anymore screens or video clips of R6: Vegas, till my review... but I have no disapline... lol... I'm really loving both the 360 and PC version of R6 Vegas, since I can't capture screens/videos (yet) of the 360 version... here's a small clip of a few enter and clear situations.

(Would be great to get the old SWAT guys together for some proper room clearing. )

Ugghhh.......I wish there was a better system for MP, I hate the UBISOFT interface.

Re: Rainbow Six Vegas for the PC...

You outta see the animation when they breach a doorway. Its real fluid and smooth. The way they move around and inside the door is just cool.
