Re: For Apophis and
Well Apophis why don't you let me know the next time you visit these parts and I will set us up with 18 holes of some of our prime golfing establishments and we will enjoy the 19th hole afterwards. One thing we don't have a shortage in is good golf courses for a very reasonable rate compared to other areas.
As for the weather well it's absolutely perfect during this time of year and really the early part of summer isn't bad. Late April till mid to late June isn't bad but from late June till late September the humidity combined with 110-115 degrees is brutal, this is our monsoon season, when dust storms pop up right out of no where and we get some wicked lightning storms

Re: For Apophis and
I have mixed feelings about Arizona since i moved here a few years ago. As for climate, its nice when it isnt summer. When summer hits though, you are an idiot if you go outside for longer than 20 minutes. And then as soon as you get used to 110-115 degrees, a monsoon comes in. But its only one season of the year that sucks, so its probably better than most other places.
The geography outside Phoenix is great. Ive been to Sedona 2 times and its really amazing. Anyone that comes to Arizona should check it out.
The street system has been hard for me to get used to. When i lived in Austin there were lots of windy roads and lonely rural roads and they were very nice to drive along. Here though, its set up in a grid with each major street crossing at each mile. Causes tons of noisy traffic and its really hard to find a quiet place anywhere, even in the suburbs.
As far as the people go, thats the worst part. Its a mishmash of people from all over the US and for some reason that makes everyone unpleasant. The few natives ive met have been great, but they arent as numerous as the jerks from the rest of the country. Ive heard better things about Flagstaff though, and i may be going to college up there
Im rambling.

Re: For Apophis and
We're getting round 2 of awesome holiday snowfall right now in Colorado. Wouldn't change it for a thing.

Re: For Apophis and
I was hoping to catch some snow while I was home (North of Boston) but the weather wouldn't cooperate (50's and raining as other New Englanders have mentioned). Of course the day I drove back to Florida there were snow flurries from Springfield, MA to Roanoke, VA.
