    Niiice - do you get the bright color ones where you live? I've been watching the ones around here and they are the BRIGHTEST colors.

    Yeah, there are some bright ones. I have seen some that look like a glowing black/blue depending on the light. I have some pics, I'll have to dig them up. I can't remember if they turned out or not.

    Very nice pics....how did you get them that foccussed? Glue them on? Ive tried to make pics of dragonflies but there way too nervous to sit still for 2 secs. hehe.

    I had on a good telephoto lense, I wasn't really that close to them

    Yup....used that too....but zooming in that far and that close the hardest part was the very short (less then 5mm) focaldepth....

    We've got the blue ones here in Texas, they are neat to watch, I've never seen one that close up before.

    I couldn't get the second one to come up. Thats some nice work using your limited depth of field on the first one. We call those Damselflies.

    What are you photographing them with? If you have a lot of control over your camera, try f/16 or f/22 (or higher). This will give you more depth, and it will be better on depth than if you are shooting macro. Macro is a whole different animal.
