Lol--story about the shock box, actually. We went out of town for a week or so over Christmas and left the dog with Arun's parents, who have two adorable dachshunds. They also use an electric fence to contain their dogs, so we figured Blitz would be just fine in their yard. Well, when they brought him into the yard, they took the shock collar off Blitz so it wouldn't shock him on the way in, and when they got him out of the car, Arun's dad put the collar in his pocket to take it inside and forgot about it.

You can see where this is going.

Of course, later in the evening, they needed something from the garage--which is on the other side of the electric fence. So, Arun's dad, collar still in pocket, went to get it--and promptly got shocked in the leg. Now, we can't keep the collar on the wussy little warn-warn-shock setting, because it doesn't work with Blitz. It's cranked all the way up, and, having tested it on myself, I can attest to the fact that it hurts, though not inordinately. But when you're not expecting to be shocked by your pocket...yeah.

First one passed away in 2006, 12 years old (ran after a vehicle while on a trip, hit by tire when the car was turning).


These other 3 are of Molly, which I got Christmas of 2006 (she is 16 months now).

Trying to find a good pic of one of my cats when he was a kitten, jumping about 4ft in the air to catch a butterfly.

Here we go. This was taken probably about 12 years ago, I can't be sure as I was very young when this happened (the cat's are one year older than me). It's such an old photo I'm not even sure which cat it is, but anyway.

Here's one of my new kittens (sorry for the crummy cell phone pic). A stray cat had 6 kittens in our garage and left them there so we took them in.



And here's Myrtle the Turtle. He's about 15 years old and still going strong, along with Tiptup the turtle whose picture I can't find on my computer .

My mom feeds the local feral cat population, and her flower pots around the front door have all been "well-fertilized".

What Rakka fails to mention here is that his dogs are freaking MASSIVE. Especially the rottweiler. They chew up fences when they get bored. Not toys, not books or clothes, but fences.

Now there's a dog who appreciates a good outfit. He's very photogenic! I <3 golden retrievers; my parents have one we got when I was fifteen and my sister has one that's still a puppy. They're wonderful dogs.
