I'm looking at going TR or NC.

My logic, and this is all pure conjecture based on the lore, nothing to do with actual gameplay, players, or mechanics.

I don't like the Vanu. I can see the appeal of such advanced technology, but how will it be used? How do the VS plan to structure the society they create with this technology? It's too big a question to simply ignore. Will everyone have unrestricted access to rebirthing technology, implants and enhancements, and so on? Or will these gifts be tightly controlled by an elite cadre of scientists and researchers, deciding who gets what when? Or will something in between or wholly different emerge? The answer is we don't know. If the Vanu Sovereignty defeats the TR and NC, and earns their freedom, these questions will have to be answered. In such a scenario you would quite likely see the VS tear itself apart in a civil war. The VS simply has no gameplan to implement or political and social structure to fall back on in the event that they do win the war. Imagine the Adeptus Mechanicum of Warhammer 40000 but without the Empire controlling what they can and cannot do; that is what I see the VS becoming, and I'm not okay with that.

The Terran's are the only stable government out of the three. While the Terran Republic may be harsh and authoritarian, at least their system of government has been in place a good long time and they have a plan for how to handle the Vanu technology. It may be peace at the end of a gunbarrel, but at least there was peace with the Terrans in charge.

The New Conglomerate is in a weird place for me. At least the NC has stated clearly that their political structure will be a democracy. Rather than the Vanu, the NC at least has a plan for how to handle itself as a society post-war. That being said though, the NC simply isn't able to fight a war using a ragtag assortment of weapons and vehicles. That means a corporation (Nanite Systems I think?) or corporations, has to be bankrolling the NC rebellion. The question arises, if the NC is successful in breaking free of the TR, will those funding the NC demand anything in return for their support during the war?


Overall I'm leaning towards TR, but I can see myself playing NC. It's kind of an even split for me at the moment. It'll depend on who I see playing what factions here, and also who will the better sniper rifle for the Infiltrator kit. If the NC's Bolt Driver is hands down better than its TR counterpart, I'll be NC For sure. I won't play Vanu, just throwing that out there.
