    Connection Lost??? #@%$&*!^

    Am I the only one getting disconnected from the internet on my PS3 CONSTANTLY?!?!?!?!?!?

    I can't stay connected long enough to download a 20Mb update for COD5. What gives? I'm not connected wirelessly. My ps3 is connected directly to my router via an ethernet cable and I have even manually assigned an ip address rather than using DHCP. Has anyone been able to fix this?

    Hey , make sure you have the media sharing section turned of on the ps3 options. My ps3 drops me like crazy if thats turned on.

    I'm gonna try this. I certainly don't need that on so you make a good point. My brother has the EXACT same problem so you may have solved two problems with one solution. Thanks.

    If that doesn't work You can start eliminating the usual suspects of cable, port on the router, etc.

    Saw you ping-ponging last night and was wondering what was going on.

    HAHAHAH No problem, Yeah its something with some of the routers and the media sharing system in the ps3. I have a Linksys router and I went through months of hell trying to figure this out myself. I'm glad I was able to help.
