However if you are not revived within 30 seconds of your lethal shot then your bodybag kit will disappear. Any revival past that time will mean you return to life with whatever spawn kit you have currently selected on the kit choice screen.

This can be extended into: In a pinch, if, say, ammo is sorely needed for the HAT kit because you're behind like 2 oblivious tanks or something, you can always TK someone, wait 30 seconds for bag to disappear, and then revive them, getting the rifleman kit (if that makes sense).

    Not sure it's TG-kosher, though.

Kashan desert map has barbed wire 6 feet from the helipads.

The barbed wire will cause an instant kill so its safer to reload and repair from the command post. Its just as quick so just watch out for traffic

The same tip above can apply to Ramiel, apparently the helipads can receive 50 cal fire so putting the helis by the command post with greater cover there could be best

Good use of cover by a saw gunner

In the USMC Cobra you can display number of flares left and alter the hud display by using the 1 & 2 keys

Not a tactic but fairly vital to survival and something I didnt know personally so just posting it up Thanks to Cougar.

Also with APC you can cycle the total weapons with the F key normally or use the numbers. The gunner can select smoke with the 3 key, reload takes 30 seconds.
A tank driver can also fire smoke with a right click, again with a long reload delay

In the CO trucks, the F key changes the horn between normal and reversing.
On insurgency you can 'reload' the bomb car horn with R I believe.

Also while Im posting I might as well mention the three basics to firing straight with any gun are:

    1. Look down the barrel, dont free aim
    2. Kneel
    3. Watch your timing, movement causes inaccuracy and so does firing. Fire once a second for better accuracy

In the worst cases, ie. the Ak47 the bullets will leave the muzzle at 45 degrees and miss someone right in front of you.
If you cant do at least one of the above three then often even a knife will kill someone 3 feet away more easily then a gun

If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have obviously failed to plan properly.

    Re: 1 minute tactical tips

Continuing the bizzare theme, I thought I'd post this pic up as a visualisation during game of the player model

The bf2 model puts your camera view in the chest, any time you go prone for cover or whatever remember even though you cant see them, the enemy still has got a view of your cone head peaking over the top just waiting to be shot.

Another very simple tip, shoveling or wrenching is very boring, uninvolving, etc
But while you do so you can bring up the map with the M key and study it for your possible next move, I dont think the normal spawn map works, has to be the M one.

    'denying the enemy transportation'

If you want to destroy a small vehicle make sure to shoot it in the tyres in order to do the best amount of damage in the quickest time.

Probably any noise besides ricochets is doing more damage but Im sure the tyres is good.

Couple of mags should do it, dont stand next to a truck after the first clip or your liable to kill yourself with the explosion as there is little warning with a small vehicle.

Wrenching a truck on fire doesn't work any more, dont try to save it. It might be just about possible to save an apc on fire with a wrench, but usually not

If you don't manage to kill an insurgent, don't go after him, He'll IED you.

If you don't manage to kill an insurgent, don't stay in the same place, he'll molotov you.

Another one: If you hear and/or see an enemy helicopter, hit the deck and don't move, movement attracts the human eye. (Something I learnt from Lt.Greenhorn)

Here is a good example of a hull down position, it saved the BRDM from a HAT from 200 Meters away.

The BRDM is an armored car with a poweful MG gun, use it in your squad. Don't make squads for the BRDM.

Personally, it depends on the type of heli. a small transport/attack (namely LB and scout chopper) is susceptible to small arms fire. I always try to get my full squad to open up on them whenever it's safe to do so; I've seen them go down from LMG many times.

But yeah, as far as medium/attack choppers go, there's very little chance to shoot it down.

Yes, I don't think you see squads trying to shoot down attk choppers. Can an attack chopper take small arms fire?

That blood that surrounds the outer screen when you take damage in a chopper, it's enough to freak pilots out. You don't know what's shooting you. and because sustained fire makes it more red, it makes it look like you could die any second. I know I freak the hell out when that happens.

If you trying to catch up with a vehicle travelling the same speed, tap the turbo button every other second.

It doesn't work if you hold it down but brief use repeatedly could allow a humvee to catch up with an enemy commander truck and kill it for example, otherwise they are the same speed afaik
