less is more when talking to the CO. there is nothing worse than VOIP spam.
short, concise requests: [what you want] [squad number] works best.
It's sometimes easier to VOIP the supply request, especially if returning heavy fire. "resupply on squad #, over" is easy to send to CO without taking your ironsights off the enemy. I've even barked this very resupply call over VOIP while trying to revive fallen squadies. I dont see any use for "getting the CO's attention" before the actual request. There is just no time for that in a firefight.

It's still much more efficient to bring up the squad-leader commo-rose and move left and down (I think).
Takes less time than talking, gives the CO more information and more precise information.
