from what i've noticed most of the crane's sheet metal is. this allows you to weed snipers off pretty easily as you can shoot through the metal cat walks (almost everything except for the counter weights.

The iron sights toggle makes it like FarCry. You're only zoomed in while you hold the button down. Let go of the RMB and you go back to normal view. And maybe there is already an option for crouch toggle somewhere, but the way I'm setup right now. I only stay crouched while I have my finger on the key. The toggle makes it so you stay crouched till you hit the button again. I found the utility while looking for something to let me copy & paste IP addresses into BF.

Re: when your prone, do you know where your feet are?
I thought of this thread tonight when I saw someone's legs sticking out. Zatar Wetlands, middle flag.. Squad leader was hiding in that little stable-type building where attacking squadleaders like to hide. Unfortunately for him, his legs were sticking out so I had to cut em off with my knife. Then I ran around to the inside and started to knife his medic, but a teammate's grenade got to me first.
I normally would have ran straight inside and unloaded a clip, but decided to try the underhanded method tonight. Kinda surprised that the knife worked. I've seen people clipping before, but I was usually in a vehicle so I just unloaded on the wall or threw a grenade over the wall (or run in and spray and pray). Pretty pitiful that you can knife the person that is hanging through.

Most fencing is penetrable, as well as all corrugated sheet metal (such as that type of fencing and walls of vehicle sheds). You don't even need a .50 cal; I've killed many a person by shooting them through a wall with my rifle.

Re: when your prone, do you know where your feet are?
Arggggh!
Someone brought up vehicles and it reminded me of a particularly annoying death i suffered.
I was defending a flag when a buggy came screeching in, my squad started unloading on it, but he just ran around zigzagging, not taking enough damage to die. Anyway, he zeros in on me, i had enough time to get behind a corrugated tin shed. BUT HIS DAMN TIREWHEEL CLIPPED THROUGH THE TIN and KILLED ME!
Of course his buggy was barely moving at speed by the time the wheel tapped me, but it was covered in electrified, admantium laced razors of pure death, so i died.
I was so pissed. Especially since i thought id done good by getting behind an obstacle.

On Karkland I shot a guy in the head with the M24 because it was sticking out of the bunker on the MEC side of the river at the railroad cars. I'm sure he wasn't happy

I was sniping on Mashtuur when I saw someone's feet clipping through a metal fence. I immediately sniped him through the fence. One shot killed him so I assume he was already damaged. Not sure if there is any loss of damage through fences though.

I'm pretty sure my feet are somewhere below my waist, I could be wrong though.

Uhm, when your laying prone, actually I would guess at my feet being off to one side of my waist, rather than under it.

Re: when your prone, do you know where your feet are?
I killed a spawn camper last night like this and have to share. I was defending the southern flag in the wharehouse on Dalian Plant and I see this pair of legs sticking out of the wall about eye level to the left of the main door. The guy was prone and backed into the corner of the room that exits outside the wharehouse. One trusty shotgun blast in the foot at point blank range gave me a kill on one very suprised Chinaman.
