Thats weird lol, whats also weird is that some wreck explosions can kill you (APC) while others do no damage

Ive seen people load the flag with c4 after capturing it, then just leaving

how will that do any good

It won't really. Best possible scenario, you kill their squad leader in the explosion and everyone else on the squad and the flag stays neutral till you can get there. But this never happens. It's really just for someone who wants more kills.
