Re: "providing a spawnpoint"
Powersmoker, I'm just wondering do you play as a squad leader or a member primarily?

Re: "providing a spawnpoint"
I was just wondering. I understand you want people to do it your way but people will do what they feel more comfortable doing. I personally never had a problem with people standing around me so I don't see a problem providing a spawn point just so the team works together and I can somewhat see what is going on.

Re: "providing a spawnpoint"
Generally, the SL has an obligation to stay alive so think twice before rushing in.
Another SL tactic is for the dead SL to rotate out (leave squad) and back into the squad. Especially effective w Teamspeak when BF2 recognized SL doesn't necessarily give the orders. When you rotate out, notify via Teamspeak who the new squad leader is so they can make more of an effort to stay alive.
Has anyone here tried this?
If done properly, this will prolong a squads mobile spawn and keep pressure on the enemy.

And at the same time, it can raise you to elite lamer status! I'm sure it would be appropriate on your average pub server, but definitely not here.
