Re: how he do that?
It's not that to me, it's just that I have no idea how to explain how to fly efficiently. I don't even know what my "style" is lol. I have no idea what the hell I do when I fly, just chase enemy jets and dodge missles

Re: how he do that?
Here's my definition of styles. I tend to do this alot with a few things in games (I started in JK2 with saberdueling, just take the time notice litte things people do and I could predict em pretty well) For example one style is somebody who tends to get up real close and try and unload all the bullets real fast. Others will follow for long periods of time. Some will actually try and get two people to follow him. They'll do a bit more of one then the other and then there's more details under that.

Going back and reading some of the topics I posted in.

O well, with the missles now, I really have no secrets anymore.

Re: how he do that?
You dont even need any skill to own the skys anymore. Dogfighting used to be really fun for me and i was getting better at it, and then they made it so that everyone had Viper Missiles(TM). The team that has air superiority is now determined by which team gets frustrated first and gives up.

Re: how he do that?
I actually disagree. I thought that was the case, but last night I had some great dogfights and was able to avoid lots of missiles. In the end, they still got me because I didn't have any 'moves' to keep them from staying behind me. I had to dodge until they ran out of missiles, but by then their other pilot was on my tail. I remember at one point being engaged with both fighters on Zatar and it took them a while to shoot me down.
The trick is quick and sudden moves once the missiles are fired. Big, wide barrel rolls also seem to work if you pull out of the roll just right. I wish Penguin or whoever else was on Zatar last night would comment. It seemed like to me they chased me forever at one point before finally shooting me down (but like I said, I think that was mostly because I couldn't get them off my tail and eventually a few missiles were going to hit). I know I dodged quite a few because I'd see them go flying past the front of my plane. It is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast. Re: how he do that?
We should hold some kind of pilots night on server 2 or the private server. I used to love to fly, but since being on TG I've been a groundpounder exclusively. It would be nice to have a session with just pilots. Maybe we can do a quick map mod and have loads of Air on one map?

Re: how he do that?
That sounds like fun, I'm not great at dogfights but I'm a fairly proficient flyer

Re: how he do that?
I agree with this, all you have to do to shoot someone down is get behind them (fly higher than they do).

With regard tothe aa missiles, it looks like they took a shortcut in programming or something because they do some really screwy things now visually. On sharqi I shot some that looked like they went all the way around some buildings then did a 90 degree turn to the chopper. Same thing in jet, i've seen em do some crazy corrections while in flight.

Re: how he do that?
bf2nation.co.uk has Jet Top Gun and Helo Top Gun, a way of challenging the leading pilots to a 1 on 1 dogfight. Here are the rules for the Jet Top Gun, as quoted from their Forums:
Could we do something like that here? I'm not a pilot, but perhaps those who are would be interested.

Once...once upon a time, I was able to fly the jets. Then Falcon corrupted me
and my reflexes are dead.
