    I've seen chat 'yelling' about 'stealing' UCB vehicles on more than one occasion.

    I still think just saying 'you can't steal vehciles in the UCB, period' would be the simplest way to deal with it.

    Are you guys still talking about this?

    It is generally very easy to tell what is going on. People who don't know the rules run into a UCB and steal the biggest vehicle they can get. People who know the rules take vehicles to escape after destroying assets. People who use attacking assets as an excuse for stealing UCB vehicles just don't exist, so it is a non-issue. I think the reason is that folks who know the rules, know that it isn't worth the risk.

    Asset destruction is done by Spec Ops soldiers, which are suposed to be stealth specialists. You shouldn't be entering the enemy UCB by the main gate with guns blazing. If you play the Specops kit like it's meant to be played, you shouldn't have to fire on many people while in the UCB since they aren't suposed to know you're there.

    I don't think it was a prolbem because 99% of peeps who play construe any interaction with enemy armor/apc's against the rules. Before Thierie's post, it was said to be acceptable. Don't assume everyone will err on the side of caution, I have seen loop hole jumpin on the server before.

    Keeping it all simple would be the best solution, maybe even changing the server message to include that in a single line

    Too bad the commander is usually around the UCB. Too bad there's no way to make the spec ops class invisible to scan and UAV.

    Which is good, otherwise a commander could set up a whole squad of pure spec ops to do a whole load of flags and it would get unbalanced.

    As someone instrumental in stirring the porridge of this thread I think all useful points relating to this have now been raised. Seems to me we have covered the existing rules and potential loopholes. We have got a clarification from the admins on exactly how they see the rule and where they draw the line as it stands. We have heard an argument for change and an argument against. Where else is there to go?

    Maybe there is somewhere else to go--- but we won't know unless people are allowed to talk it out.

    There's no harm in letting people continue to talk aobut this in a single thread.

    Just because you see a dot on the UCB doesn't mean you see the guy on your screen. On most maps it's very easy to be sneaky and just be almost invisible by holding your fire.
