Re: Bf Memory Error
I was getting blue screens of death though, after I upgrade Win XP to 4GB...but BSOD was due to a driver issue with onboard sound...just happened to start right after I upgrade my ram!!!

Re: Bf Memory Error
Liquid, you need to install the patch i suggested. It's a well known problem and it will fix it. Forget all the talk about it being because you have 3 gigs, while that is the problem is related to you having 3 gigs, that patch fixes the the issue.

Re: Bf Memory Error
thanks for bringing up this topic. I think the hotfix turned out to fix my every other second crashes. (vista 64 / 2x2 gb)at least i have played an entire round to the end now. in other matters vista seem quite troublefree for my needs

Re: Bf Memory Error
I am still getting these errors on specific maps, I have re-installed PR (levels.exe) about 5 times, and every time, most maps or fine, but every time, one or more other maps get the bug instead!
This is really getting irritating. The problem is so weird I don't have a clue what is causing it. I thought of RAM, (4gig in XP, I know it doesn't recognise all of it), but this hypothesis doesn't explain why it is always tied to a different map.
Well any hints are welcome. What it's like to play online games as a grown-up:http://s3.amazonaws.com/theoatmeal-i...e_gaming/1.jpg

Re: Bf Memory Error
Al, I had the same problem in 0.6 with Road to Kyongan'Ni. The only way I was able to fix it was to completely uninstall PR and BF2, making sure to delete the profiles out of the "my documents" folder and then reinstall everything.
