    PR + Vista + High Settings + Resolution = Fail?

    Anyone get Vista running on high settings & resolution without major lag (chopyness) on large scale maps (Kashan, Al basrah, fools road...)? I have looked around the net + PR forums + TG forums and have ran into two solutions:
    • Turning your textures to medium - the rest on high (Works)
    • Modifying your BF2.exe to support > 2gb ram (Works - but get PB md5 kicks if check is active on server)

    Anyone have a "magical" solution to this? Or have it working with simular settings without issues?

    Settings: 1680x1050 @ Highest & 8AA

    System:
    Nvidia 9800gtx
    4gb DDR2 RAM
    Vista x64
    AMD Athlon 4400+
    SB X-FI Gamer

    This is my third go @ Vista & PR.. Same results every time.

    Why not just run textures on medium? The only result you'll see on high textures is a better looking glove and sleeve on your model...

    Really? To me a whole bunch of other stuff looks soo "flat" compared to high... Good is good enough, but I prefer great
