This is hard as hell. i got to
"Look for PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe and if they exist, right-click on each one and select Delete."
It wont delete

PnkBstrA is an active process that runs as soon as your computer starts up. You need to end the process first. Hit CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to bring up the task manager, navigate to the Processes tab, find PnkBstrA.exe, highlight it and click "end process". Once you've done that, you can safely delete the file.

ok last night was the first time this has happened to me, trying to play pr it crashed as soon as i tried connecting to tg. I tried it several times to the same effect. So i come on to here and try all the solutions ou have posted but still no luck.

i then try to open my taskmanager to close firefox after it crashed and noticed that the little icon in the corner was jumping up and down, and im not able to open task manager. Any idea of whats going on?

My BF2PR is crashing alot.
I was told it crashes if your graphics are high.
When im playing it just goes to the desktop thats all.

I just got banned / kicked for 2 mins cause of "not responding to MDKtool5" or something like that. Something new in punkbuster? I havnt seen this error before.. just curious

Please define the crash. Is it crash to desk top? Is it crash by the game freezing. Their are plenty of ways crashes happen. Each one with its own remedy. The fastest way I find to get help is to go onto TS and ask.

I had the same problem. I just set my textures to Medium and I stopped crashing. Their is another fix where you can do some changes to make it so the game will use more then 2 gig of RAM. I'm told that will also work. I have not done it because I too scared of making a mistake.

And then the problem should be fixed (worked for me)
