Trouble Installing PR
I am having trouble installing PR. I installed the Client (Core). Then it tells me I need to install the levels and such so I go and install the Client (Patch) and it still does not seem to recognize that I've installed the core.
It gives me the message: This setup requires Project Reality v.85 to be installed.
Also, I have seen no desktop icon for PR pop up since I installed the core.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Re: Trouble Installing PR
You must install both the Core and Levels files, not the patch. The patch is only if you're upgrading from a previous PR version, not if you're installing it for the first time.
Hope that helped!

Re: Trouble Installing PR
Thanks for the reply and for clearing it up. I'm now installing the levels client.
I've installed the core but is it unusual to not see a desktop icon after I did that?

Re: Trouble Installing PR
I believe the levels installer gives you the desktop icon

Re: Trouble Installing PR
Ok, new problem. I just saved the pr level setup launcher to my desktop. I double click the installer, click run, and nothing happens.

Re: Trouble Installing PR
FYI: the Levels file from FileFront is corrupt I think...need to get the MOD DB levels instead.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
Yeah it seems they were corrupt and the MOD DB one worked. Now when I join a server it lets me play for a few minutes then I get kicked off with a message that says something along the lines of "Error Loading pbs." I have punkbuster and I am running the game as administrator. Any solution to this problem?
Edit: may be because my pbs files are out of date, updating now.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
Ok, updating helped that problem. Got two new ones.
-Won't let me join TG server-says I've been kicked by vote/admin for excessive teamkilling. I find this hard to believe seeing as I was on the TG server for about 20 econds before my game crashed.
-Still getting routine game crashes and freezes, most common being the "mmory.dll error"

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
- TG is full at 62/64, it 'll give you the above message if you try to join with that amount of players
- Download the modified BF2.exe to stop the memory.dll errors or set textures to medium

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
Thansk for the help. The BF2.exe errored when I tried to download, but the texture change seemed to do the trick. Got through one whole game for the first time, so hoping for smooth runnings in the future.
