Is mumble down? Or am I experiencing a random technical difficulty?

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
I hate PunkBuster... it decided to start ****ting me in the eye. Handshaking failed, initialization failed... you name it. Reinstall didn't do nothing, so I guess I'll try the thing in the very first post.

Okay, that seemed to do the trick. Thanks for whoever figured that out.

Re: md5tool mismatch
This isn't a problem related to the tactical gamer server.
I'd recommend having a gander on down to the support forum at realitymod.com, where amusingly enough, they have a sticky on the matter: http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f27-...eshooting.htmlBF3 is a good game, and when they finish it, it may even be a great game.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
I had the handshake once not so long ago. I think twice since .8, maybe more. I'm aware it has not gone but at least for me it's a lot more stable than it was before.. at the moment.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
Having a problem with the server not granting me my SM slot. If it's full, I can't join. If another SM joins and I happen to be in the hot seat, I get kicked to make room.

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
Go here and enter your BF2 name: http://bf2s.com/
Your ID will be at the top left corner.
Enter the ID in your profile details.
That should be all to make your SM scrip work

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
I finally bought the game, but it seems it wasn't the smartest thing to get it from Steam. First of all I had tons of problems getting the actual game running, eventually though I was able to install all the stuff needed.
I installed them in following order:
Patch 1.41
Patch 1.5
PR Core 0874
PR levels 0874
And now after all hard effort and hours of loading / installing... Upon logging in it will force me into window telling I have wrong shortcut, or my account has just been made (again and again). I did all the following:
Unfortunately, thanks to steam my current path is like this C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\battlefield 2\mods\prQ: After logging into PR, I get an error message You must use "pr.exe" to run Project Reality. Please update your shortcuts as required.
A: Firstly, take note of the message under that, IF YOU HAVE JUST CREATED A NEW ACCOUNT, PLEASE RESTART PROJECT REALITY. So, if you have just created or retrieved an account, simply quit out of PR, then launch it again. It should allow you to log in.
If the error still shows, then you are not using "pr.exe" to run Project Reality. You cannot launch PR from the community tab in BF2, it must be launched from pr.exe. Check your desktop shortcuts, and make sure it looks similar to this:
(Default Directory)
Target:
"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe"
Start In:
"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\pr"
If that STILL doesn't work, you are sure that you are using pr.exe, but you still get the error, try deleting your My Documents/Battlefield 2 folder, launch PR, retrieve your account, restart PR, then see if that works.
Could that be reason for the problem? I did not touch any vanilla servers, I just gave short go with single player. I did make new account in bf2, and I'am able to log in with it.
I tried quickly check through if this was common problem, unfortunately I'm short of time atm and I know TG people will love to help me with this (not
). Haven't reinstalled yet, hopefully there is some other solution (as installing through steam didn't work as intended)

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
I did some searching around on the PR forums, it seems some other people are having similar issues. One of the devs are looking into it, hopefully getting a fix out quite soon.
http://www.realitymod.com/forum/f26-...exe-param.html
Apart from that thread I can't find anything else apart from punk-buster issues with Steam.
I then found a general thread about .exe problems, but nothing related to Steam.

Good luck

Re: PR Technical Problems Thread
Thanks scratcher, really good find!
It seems I will have to wait for it then, as it seems the problem is rather new and they won't be giving solution until next patch. I'm trying this auto-hotkey in order to fix it. If that doesn't work then I'll just have to wait and see.
EDIT: Wow that fixed it instantly, brilliant! I wish I could rep the guy who made that up too.
