Punkbuster - what does it do to Your PC?
Hello,
I would like to ask what Punkbuster does to Your hard drive (MBR, etc) and operating system. Are the changes done by Punkbuster removed once You are going to uninstall it? As with BF2142, I greatly dislike to give a program so many rights on my computer system. Also, with all the player complaining about beeing shut out from servers for nothing, it seems to me that this program comes with a lot of problems included.. although there is no alternative on the horizon.
Any comments or chunks of knowledge?

Punkbuster is something that runs on your computer, and trys to stop you cheating in the game. It checks you have not modified your game, or are running extra programs to assist you in the game. When you get the message "inadequate o/s privileges" it either means Punkbuster has not installed correctly on your computer or it doesn't have the right access to your computer.
