BF2 Monitor readjustment problem
Hopefully someone has some idea about this.
I just got the game. Installed it.
When I launch the game and the game graphics begin, every 15-20 seconds or so my monitor blinks and the image shakes/vibrates and the monitor's status box pops up saying that it is 'proceeding...'
The problem persists after BF2 is closed.
I have a 17" NEC LCD
Windows Vista
Intel dual core quad with 4 GB ram
Nvidia 8600 GT
Never had this sort of issue at all and am stumped.Karma

Well your monitor might be having problems with a resolution bf2 is trying to put it in.
Go into your bf2 install folder and get your video.con file.
C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\Profiles\Local\Default
First make a back up of video.con somewhere.
Find the line
"game.setGameDisplayMode 800 600 32 0" and replace with your monitors native resolution.
For example:
game.setGameDisplayMode 1280 1024 32 0
You can also try getting rid of the intro movies. You'll find a bf2 tweak guide here.

Also make sure you are useing the latest Graphics driver:
