Discussion: PR:BF2 / PR:BF2 - Technical Support & FAQs - Can't play PR 0.856 :( - I just uninstalled whatever previous version of PR I had on here. I then installed

    Can't play PR 0.856 :(

    I just uninstalled whatever previous version of PR I had on here. I then installed a fresh DL of 0.856 (checked against torrent to verify no missing bits).

    Installation looks ok, and everything finishes cleanly. I hit [Finish] at the end, but then when all is said and done, I don't get any PR Shortcut on my desktop.

    So I launch via my PoE2 shortcut, and then try joining the PR server. It exits PoE2 and launches PR <yay>. But then it says I don't have the right map <boo>.

    So I go to the Deploy browser and even though it says I'm in pr 0.856, none of the servers are joinable

    oh... and after a bit of googling, I see I'm supposed to have a "pr.exe"? yeah, the installer didn't drop one of those either. Only thing of note is that it's not the default install path: D:\programs\EA Games\BF2\ - though the installer correctly identified that as the install path, so that may mean nothing.

    Any ideas?
