Crashing to desktop...
I don;t know what happened I have never had this problem before and all I did was not play Bf2 for about a month
and now whenever I get into a game 5 mins later ill crash to desktop....

What up...having the same issue...crashing to desktop after 5-10min. Ran windowed mode and there is no error message and no sound...the just closes and bam im on desktop.
vista 64 4gb ram E8400 9800gt 1440x900 in game and as my desktop rez. Reinstalling...will let u know if it fixes the prob but let me know what u suggest.
PS it smells like skunk outside my house...really bad. Thanks

What Video Card (GPU) and drivers are you guys running? Example: ATI 4870 card with 9.4 driver, or Nvidia GTX 285 with 185.85 driver - those are the latest, but may not be the best for older games...
I've seen and heard this happening lately, and I have a feeling it's a conflict with the Video card drivers. If it was your CPU or other hardware you PC would crash or have boot problems, but since just the game is stopping it could be the drivers. Game video settings (High/Med/Low)?
Do you get punkbusted too?
