Re: Punkbuster: Disallowed Program/Driver [125119]
What Evenbalance says:
" Some new cheats are now actually hacking FRAPS in order to cheat in the game. We're trying to work with the FRAPS people right now to get this addressed. The current situation is that PB kicks for any version of FRAPS that is not the latest version or any version that has the known cheat hooks. Both Xfire and FRAPS are being used by cheat authors in attempts to hide the cheat without hacking the game or PB directly. The kicks for old versions are restriction kicks rather than cheat violations - players who get the restriction kicks should not be in danger of receiving any kind of ban. A violation kick indicates that PB found a specific cheat hook . "

Re: Punkbuster: Disallowed Program/Driver [125119]
Updating to Fraps 2.9.8 resolves the issue.
Make sure your Fraps and Xfire is bang up to date if you get this error message.

Re: Punkbuster: Disallowed Program/Driver [125119]
It would seem that Fraps version 2.9.9 and older are now causing Punkbuster to display this error.
Make sure you are running at least fraps version 3.0.1
The latest version is 3.0.3 released on the 21st November 2009

Total number of times I have had my gaming experience ruined by Punkbuster - OVER 9000!
I get why they have punkbuster, but damn is it a pain in the posterior.

Re: Punkbuster: Disallowed Program/Driver [125119]
I haven't verified it yet, but I recently purchased the complete BF2 package from Steam, and re-downloaded PR just yesterday. Every time I've tried to play, regardless of server, I'm getting PB kicked with a real similar message. One of the fixes I found recommended disabling the Steam overlay.
I'm hoping that it works.

Re: Punkbuster: Disallowed Program/Driver [125119]
I have the same problem, I use FRAPS in the lastest version (updated today) and still get this problem. I think the suspect to blame is my Razer Mouse Driver. I already killed it completely with the task manager, but I still get kicked. I might have to uninstall it completely.
Can one play on servers without PlayBlocker (PunkBuster ;-)) Service and still get official credit for the games?

I uninstalled the Razer driver, now it works like a charm.
