Punkbuster help??
I had to reinstall Vista and BF2- Now BF2 is completely loaded (to 1.41) and loads fine. But I keep getting kicked immediately after joining any server--with this message:
Restriction: Service Communication Failure: PnkbstrA.exe
I downloaded the Pbsetup.exe from the Punkbuster website and updated PunkBuster for BF2--did it twice just to be sure. And still getting the same violation.
Any ideas??? I can't play at all! Thanks.

A couple of quick ideas. Hope this helps.
Are you running BF2 in admin mode?
Is your firewall configured to allow punkbuster to access the internet?

Well normally updating punkbuster works for me.. It could be a firewall or some other error with the punkbuster system..

Thanks! I think the admin thing works. I don't know why now I haev to do that and not before but it seems to work now.
Now i need to get my mike to work!

Ok, your having problems with punkbuster? this happened to me too. this is what you do go to Punkbuster.com and click on Battlefield 2 on the list, after that download the PBSETUP near the top of the list, then it will update the punkbuster required for the games you have, it really helped me. if you have other problems with Punkbuster i don't know what to say.
