Patch Order
Hi everyone. Looking to come back to BF2. I tried reinstalling BF2, then Special Forces, then the 1.41 patch and finally the 1.50 patch. No dice (har har). Crashes before anything even loads up (black screen then back to desktop)
What's the correct patching order?

That sounds right to me. When I reinstalled, I did the same thing except Special Forces, which I don't own. I think your problem is unrelated to patching.

Try updating your Microsoft Direct X &/or Video Drivers.
