I have a ATI Radeon 9250 256mb pci card and exceed ALL requirements of the game. BF2 says it needs a 128 card with hardware T&L and pixel shader which my card has. When I start the game, it plays the intro movie, awesome, then crashes to a black screen. Eventuallly it resets all my video settings to the worst resolution and lowest settings and says hardware acceleration has stopped and needs to reboot. EA Games states
Although this card meets the memory requirements for running the game, when tested it was not able to run the game with a stability adequate enough to make the official supported video card list in the Readme for the game
If anyone finds a fix or finds that EA has fixed this problem, PLEASE PM me! This would be very much appreciated as I now had to return the game and hope to be able to repurchase it to play.
