    Setting up Teamspeak binds

Here are some instructions on setting up key binds within Teamspeak and a few that I use often. This will allow you to switch to all BF channels and mute the output while in-game.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    Push to Talk
Please make sure that you set a key bind to talk and do NOT use the voice-activated option.

    Channel Change
    1. Start Teamspeak.
    2. Connect to ts.tacticalgamer.com (teamspeak server).
    3. Goto settings --> key settings.
    4. Click Add
    5. In the action list, select switch to.
    6. Leave the 2nd selection box on channel.
    7. Select the channel you would like.
    8. Use the set keys to set your keybind.

My channel keybinds are as follows...
    a. CTRL-SHIFT-1 = Battlefield 2 (Server #1)
    b. CTRL-SHIFT-2 = Battlefield 2 (Server #2)
    c. CTRL-SHIFT-P = Battlefield 2 (Private)
    d. CTRL-SHIFT-B = Battlefield 2 (General)

You can also bind keys to move you "up" and "down" to adjoining channels.

    Away & Mute
    1. Start Teamspeak.
    2. Connect to ts.tacticalgamer.com (teamspeak server).
    3. Goto settings --> key settings.
    4. Click Add
    5. In the action list, select toggle.
    6. In the 2nd selection box use Away and Mute Output.

    My keybinds are as follows...
    a. CTRL-SHIFT-A = Toggle Away status
    b. CTRL-SHIFT-M = Toggle Mute status

nice post...after looking at that, i realized that you can also whisper to a certain person or a channel...this becomes very useful if you are in a certain channel and you want to talk to an admin or want to use a relay system

    Re: Setting up Teamspeak binds

If you get sick of hearing TS announce to you everytime someone joins the server, your channel, or picks their nose, you can turn off those notifications.

You can disable them all, but there are a couple that I actually need to hear when I'm on TS for various reasons:
    1. When I (not others) switch channels
    2. When I mute/unmute my mic
    3. When I toggle TS sound output
    4. When I (not others) connect to the server

    You can do it here:

Could someone post their bindings (I see export import buttons in the dialog)? It is lots of work setting things up.

    Re: Setting up Teamspeak binds

I won't post my bindings file, but here's what I use:
U = whisper to USMC pilots
I = whisper to OPFOR pilots
    O = bind last whisperer to 0
    P = whisper to 0

Shift+Alt+Numpad1 = switch username to USMC pilot 1
Shift+Alt+Numpad2 = switch username to USMC pilot 2
Shift+Alt+Numpad3 = switch username to USMC pilot 3
Shift+Alt+Numpad4 = switch username to Opfor pilot 1
Shift+Alt+Numpad5 = switch username to Opfor pilot 2
Shift+Alt+Numpad6 = switch username to Opfor pilot 3

    Re: Setting up Teamspeak binds

How do I set a hotkey to change my user name(USMCPilot1, etc.)?

The only way I see is to create new connections for each of the user names you wish to use (setup each connection with the TG TS server but change the name you login under) and use switch to : server?

That is correct, ABRA, as described in the SOP for contacting the jet squad. (See my sig.)

I use my middle mouse button. I haven't set up any other binds yet because i'm too lazy.

I keep my mouse buttons for firing and weapon switches. All my TS binds are on the numberpad including the push to talk.

Actually that's a good idea. I might set up my TS binds for the number pad.

    Re: Setting up Teamspeak binds

Bah! I can't get my binds to work!(never had any before) All I get is a annoying beeping sound when I press the key/keys, and it loops when I hold them/it down. I've never had a use for TS until a few days ago, so I'm not the most knowledgeable guy around

    Any ideas?
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling that thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety is a miserable creature, who has no chance at being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. -- John Stuart Mill--
